Sometimes you don’t need to go to the Southwest to discover wonderful Indian art. Sometimes it can be found right in the backyard, or in this case, New York City. A friend of mine from my old days as a fashion blogger, whose website PinkyShears.com is one of the best out there, introduced me to a fantastic bead artist.

Joyce is an urban Indian, and around 2006 she turned to beading with micro-mini beads. Her mantra is “one bead at a time.”
